1. Remodeling and Repairs
If you need someone who has the ability to make the necessary repairs to a home during a sale transaction, we found a former builder who did excellent work on a house we inspected. His work was so thorough and well done, that we went out of our way to call and ask if he would allow us to place his name on our website.

Jim Bergen will take our report, provide a quote, and perform the work needed to get your house closed. He also does remodeling, so if your plans include finishing the basement, or other similar type of project, he can do that for you too.

2. Electrician
We recently used Terry to re-wire parts of our recently purchased home to accommodate our requirements. He is reliable, reasonably priced, and can be counted on to do a thorough job at a fair price. He accepts small assignments, similar to the type resulting from a home inspection. Trust him.

3. Painter
Here's a man and his small team that are worth the wait. Most of his work is in the Gwinnett and North Fulton area. We found him painting the inside and outside of a home we were inspecting. His work was so good, we hired him to paint the outside of our home. His work is exceptional and his price was lower than most other quotes we received. Had we not seen his work ourselves we would have thought his price was for a low quality paint job. Only challenge is communicating since his English is not the best.

4. Hardwood Flooring Contractor
Once in a while we meet a person who does good work at a fair price and is a nice guy. Mr. Nick Butoiu is just that kind of person. We found him when he hired US to inspect his new home. Nick is an expert in hardwood floors, so if you need new floors installed, your existing floors refinished, or a few rooms installed, give Nick a call.

5. Plumber
Here is a reasonably priced company with plumbers all over town. They can generally respond within a few hours.

We've used this company and recommend them. They're quick, do a clean job, and are competitively priced. Most attic refresh jobs can be done for about 48 cents per square foot. They're good and service the entire metro Atlanta area.

7. Roofer (minor repairs up thru full replacement)
Here is what Adam says about himself. 8. Appliance Repair
Here's a company we used and were extremely happy with their work. The oven in our home didn't work, and we were worried it would mean replacement. In fact, we were ready to go to Lowe's and start looking for a new wall oven. Instead, we decided to see if an appliance repairman could take care of it. We located this company online, initiated an appointment online. We thought we'd get a call back the next morning. About 5 minutes later the phone rang, and it was the scheduling lady. They book evening appointments, so we agreed on between 5pm and 8pm the next day. Mid afternoon the technician called us, and we agreed he could come after 4 pm if he was running early. He arrived at 4:15 pm, and within 30 minutes he had us back in business - for a grand total of $91. He was personable, experienced, and prompt. They have multiple technicians, but we liked our guy - named below. Ask for him if you can.
